Yew Bow Staves

We are working hard to provide pictures for your purchases. We are in the process of providing pictures that give examples of the wood we have available on our Gallery pictures of Bow Woods.

Orders are on a first come basis. It is possible for an item to sell and not be available for the best service please call with your order.

We select the trees best suited for making a bow.

The wood is cut into staves and then the Stave is sealed to prevent checking. The stave is then air dried.

We offer some Staves that are thinner and would require a riser to be glued to the handle area.

We accept the Credit Cards Master Card and Visa PayPal

Phone orders excepted with visa and master card. Shipping in the continental US is $26.00.

Shipping to France England and Germany is $100.00

Shipping to Italy is $120.00

YEW BOW STAVE PRICING

Our best yew bow staves are 200.00. These are extra long so that the bowyer can easily replicate a Mary Rose war bow.

A premium Yew bow stave ranging in length from 68 inches to 74 inches is 150.00.

A more economical stave sells for 100.00 and may have pin knots or need to be steamed to straighten.

We have short length yew staves for making what are called coastal staves. These are about 45.00.

We do save staves that could best be called “challenge” staves. These are priced at 45.00.

Yew Staves will vary in length from 68 inches to 74 inches.

We are now offering War Bow staves for making reproductions of the war bows recovered from the Mary Rose. They will be 75inches to 84 inches in length. The dimensions in the handle area will be at a minimums 2 inches wide and 2 inches thick.
